its Patent Prosecution Group.
PROFILE:
---Candidates must have 1 to 3 years of experience
---MS, MEE, PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering
or Computer Science
---JD, LLB, LLM
---Strong writing skills, and excellent academic
credentials
---Must be admitted to the California Bar and the
United States Patent and Trademark Office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
---Conducting due diligence, evaluating intellectual
property assets, avoiding potential
liabilities, correcting title defects, and preparing
licensing and related intellectual property agreements
and handling complex prosecution matters including
interferences, reexaminations, reissues, protests,
appeals to the Board of Patent Appeals & Interferences
("Board") and appeals from the Board to the Court of
Appeals for the Federal Circuit. ("Federal Circuit")
---Advising clients on acquisition and defense of IP
rights, exploitation of IP rights through licensing,
merchandising, sponsorship, agency and distribution,
e-procurement and collaboration, and research and
development agreements, internet-related IP issues,
evaluation of IP rights for the securitisation of
revenue streams, implementation of responsive
anti-counterfeiting strategies including applying for
injunctions worldwide, protection of trade secrets and
other confidential information, resolution of disputes
on behalf of both alleged infringers and IP owners in
the areas of copyright, patents, technology, trademarks,
design and misuse of trade secrets, design of
intellectual property audits, registration and
representation during revocation proceedings before
national and international authorities and during
infringement proceedings in court, development of patent
protection strategies as well as their implementation at
the national and international level development of risk
management and compliance procedures.
