Expanding major international law firm
seeks a finance and transactions associate.
QUALIFICATIONS
---JD, LLB
---3-6 years of experience in asset based
lending, senior secured lending, drafting loan
agreements, and general corporate finance transactions
(including debt offerings, mezzanine financing and
mortgage loans). Experience in real estate lending is
strongly preferred
---Top academics and large law firm experience is
desirable
---Applicant must be licensed to practice in Illinois.
RESPONSIBILITIES
---Representing lenders, other capital providers and
borrowers in connection with construction loans, bridge
loans, term loans, permanent loans, revolving lines of
credit and other credit arrangements secured by real
estate
---Advising multinational companies on securitization of
oil and tax receivables; the securitization of emerging
country debt receivables; the creation of multi-issuance
platforms for securitizing emerging market bonds, loans,
letters of credit and similar instruments; the
repackaging of Brady Bonds and other securities issued
by emerging market sovereigns and semi-sovereigns
---Assisting financial institutions on leveraged
loans, high yield bond offerings, mezzanine, project
finance, equipment financings, restructurings and
securitizations
---Representing issuers in offerings of debt and equity
securities, including initial public offerings,
collateralized mortgage obligations, unit investment
trust offerings, syndicated limited partnership
interests, medium term note programs, and hybrid
instruments such as foreign denominated debt securities,
as well as traditional common stock and convertible debt
offerings.
