finance associate for its Chicago office.
QUALIFICATIONS
---JD, LLB
---with 3-6 years experience in real estate
lending as well as secured financing (including
corporate transactions, asset based lending and secured
lending
---Applicants must have strong drafting and negotiation
skills
---Top academics and large law firm experience is
desirable
---Applicant must be licensed to practice in Illinois.
RESPONSIBILITIES
---Representing domestic and international banks, life
insurance companies, pension funds, pension fund
advisors, and other institutional investors that are
active throughout the world in all phases of real estate
investment, financing, development, and operations
---Advising investors from Europe, Canada, and the Middle
East, the Far East and South America in the United
States, U.S. investors in Europe and U.S. and European
in Asia, on purchases and sales, leases, joint ventures
and large portfolio, multi-state, and cross-border
transactions
---Assisting domestic and international financial
institutions with traditional mortgage lending
activities, as well as a variety of creative financing
devices such as mortgage-backed securitizations and
other real estate structured finance transactions.
---Preparing and negotiating of joint venture and
partnership agreements, construction contracts,
construction and development management agreements,
architects agreements, leasing and brokerage agreements
and hotel management agreements.
---Representing clients before public agencies and
boards in the negotiation of development agreements,
public financing arrangements, and other complex
financings from developers' perspective.
