QUALIFICATIONS
---JD, LLB
---1-3 years of transactional experience with an emphasis
on technology, intellectual property transactions,
outsourcing, compliance/regulatory work involving
technology and data/privacy related issues.
---Top academics and large law firm experience is
desirable
---Applicant must be licensed to practice in Illinois.
RESPONSIBILITIES
---Representing domestic and international developers,
suppliers and consumers of proprietary software
including e-commerce enterprises, telecommunications
companies, public and private research and teaching
institutions, hospitals, biotechnology companies,
hardware manufacturers and franchisors, traditional
computer and network software companies, online
retailing companies, telecommunications companies,
network and personal computer equipment manufacturers,
components and accessories manufacturers, producers of
interactive entertainment, wireless, broadcasting and
media companies, traditional and internet telephony
companies, technology and internet services providers,
consulting and managed services companies.
---Counseling clients on e-business operations and
spin-off ventures; clinical trial work; supply
arrangements; IT procurement; information security and
data protection
---Guiding clients through emerging trends including
outsourcing and offshoring, the Internet and eCommerce,
bioinformatics, security and privacy threats,
multimedia, enhanced and application services, and
troubled and failing technology project
---Analyzing and advising on COPPA, Gramm-Leach-Bliley
Act (GLBA), HIPAA, The Privacy and Electronic
Communications (EC Directive).
