worldwide has an opening for its Patent Portfolio Manager
(PPM).
BACKGROUND:
---Registered patent attorney or agent with a minimum of
7 years of experience in patent preparation, prosecution
and management.
---Bachelor Degree in EE or CS or significant software
experience required.
---Computer or telecommunications industry experience
desirable.
---Admitted to practice in at least one jurisdiction.
Minimum 8+ years law firm or industry relevant experience
required.
SKILLS:
---Detailed knowledge and understanding of, and on-hands
experience in, patent law.
---Strategic, creative thinker with excellent
communication, business judgment, problem solving and
organizational skills.
---Ability to communicate articulately and persuasively
with different levels of the organization, including
engineering community, vice presidents and senior
managers.
---Able to manage outside counsel effectively.
---Must be a team player and able to develop and maintain
strong relationships.
---Must be able to manage wide variety of tasks
simultaneously.
---Familiarity with multinational/international patent
law and practices is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
---Patent strategy development & management
---Portfolio development
---Participate in patent committee meetings
---Outside Counsel management
---Participate in tasks supporting acquisition due
diligence, IP licensing, litigation and standards
activities.
