Leading global financial firm seeks a litigation attorney
for its Employment Law and Benefits Practice Group.
Successful candidate will be responsible
for
---Providing legal counsel on employment and
related matters
---Handling caseload of employment claims at various
stages of litigation and arbitration through trial (and
in various jurisdictions)
---Drafting and reviewing human resources policies and
agreements and other legal documentation related to human
resources and employment
---Management of outside counsel
REQUIREMENTS:
---JD
---Admission to practice in Illinois
---Minimum of 3 years of recent employment litigation and
counseling experience in a major law firm or corporate
law department
---Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal employment
discrimination and other employment-related statutes
---Familiarity with NLRA and union related work a plus
---Excellent communication skills and ability to develop
and maintain client relationships
---Experience advising, drafting, negotiating and
litigating, non-solicitation agreements and restrictive
covenants a strong plus
---Experience handling full range of employment issues,
including employee discipline, termination, severance,
workplace investigations, policy development, employment
agreements, FLSA, FMLA, wage and hour issues, workplace
accommodations, applications, and training
---Knowledge of intellectual property, trade secrets and
confidential information protection a strong plus.
