Global US-based company with $22 billion annual sales, seeks an attorney to join its trademark group responsible for the clearance, protection, and enforcement of one of the largest portfolios in the world.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

---Conduct and evaluate trademark clearance reports and advise company on risk and/or usage parameters.
---Draft and negotiate a variety of trademark and other intellectual property licenses and agreements. ---Provide counsel to all levels of management regarding international intellectual property equity, enforcement and dispute resolution and assist with litigation matters.
---Prepare, file, prosecute and/or generally manage trademark applications and other actions related to trademark registration, both domestic and international in scope.
---Manage due diligence issues and drafting of intellectual property provisions with regard to acquisition and divestiture activities.

PROFILE:

 

---JD, LLB or LLM and strong academic credentials
---Admission to at least one state bar
---Excellent research, analytical, verbal and written communication skills
---Experience in trademark clearance, prosecution, licensing, counseling, and transactional matters is preferred

---Demonstrated ability to solve problems, handle multiple priorities, work autonomously, and clearly communicate complex issues to management
---Ability to exercise sound commercial and legal judgment
---Ability to juggle multiple matters, re-prioritize as dictated by the business needs, and work well under pressure
---Ability to contribute to a team environment.
