The Kazakhstan office of a major international law firm
has a vacancy for an ambitious energy attorney.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
---Drafting, reviewing and managing a variety of
contracts and agreements
---Assisting all major organizations operating in the
Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, Mining industries in
dealing with globalization, cyclical prices, cost
containment, technological advances, productivity
improvements, deregulation, licenses to operate and
access to capital
---Providing support for auditing joint-venture
operations, obtaining new sources of financing, building
a suitable financial infrastructure to help limit tax
burden at home and abroad, selecting a business partner,
demystifying complex inter-company transfer pricing
issues, relevant laws and regulations, or risks inherent
to doing business in a foreign country.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
---JD or LLM
---5+ year of related legal experience
---Applicants should have strong academic records with
post graduate qualifications
---Private law firm experience (an international firm or
top level local firm)
---Excellent English (oral and
writing)
---Very good legal writing and drafting skills
---Ability to analyze problems and offer practical
solutions
---Outgoing personality and leadership skills, ability to lead, mentor and teach more junior lawyers,
and to work well as a part of a team
---Interest in a long term career with the Firm.
