Expanding major US-based IT company, is searching for a qualified lawyer with substantial professional experience in intellectual property.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary responsibilities will include drafting and negotiating content licensing agreements, managing and resolving disputes and providing legal advice in the field of IP.
---Represent a wide range of internal clients regarding availability, protection, enforcement, and licensing of trademarks and brands worldwide.
---Work in a team environment with other trademark professionals around the world
---Managing trademark enforcement matters including dispute resolution, administrative actions, and litigations around the world; conducting trademark searches and rendering availability opinions; counseling clients on all aspects of trademark practice
---Managing over 150 outside counsels worldwide; providing budgets and financial forecasts to management; and managing people and/or complex projects and teams
---Special responsibilities and projects as required.

PROFILE:

---JD, LLB, LLM
7-10 years of experience, with substantial trademark expertise
---Active membership in at least one US state bar
---People and budget management experience desirable
---Experience in the computer industry and/or in in-house trademark legal work desirable
---Excellent communication (oral and written), critical analysis and strategic thinking, drafting, negotiation, organization, project management, time management and prioritization, and teamwork skills required
---Good business judgment
---Hard working, well organized and able to manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure
---Flexibility (including some travel) and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters
---Great sense of humor, commitment to professionalism.
