International securities trading and brokerage firm has an immediate opening for an in-house counsel to:
---Support our build-out in emerging markets (primarily Latin America), including the creation of new products in local markets
---Provide regulatory advice and support as these and other emerging markets-based products begin trading internationally
---Be the lead lawyer in structuring, negotiating and advising on complex transactions with emerging market counterparties and in relation to emerging market jurisdictions.

PREFERRED BACKGROUND:

---JD and New York bar admission
---2-5 years' experience of law firm or bank experience in the emerging markets, with an emphasis on Latin America
---Fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred, but not required
---Excellent writing and communication skills
---Demonstrated initiative and ability to improvise and work with minimal supervision.
