We actively recruit associates and stagiaires who have completed their legal studies
in France and are admitted or about to be admitted to practice law in France as
Avocats. Many associates also hold
degrees from top French business schools (such as HEC, ESSEC, and ESCP-EAP),
political sciences schools (Instituts d'études politiques) and/or LL.M. from a U.S.
or British law school. We primarily recruit associates upon the completion of the
entry examination for the Ecole de Formation du Barreau. Fluency in the English
language is essential. Paris offices also hire lawyers who have completed their
formal legal training in other countries, such as Germany.
Relocation
Clients reimburse the relocation expenses, or a portion of them, for attorneys
joining from another city.
Bonuses
Clients pay bonuses that are highly competitive. Among the criteria for allocating
bonuses, productivity will be a significant component, but individual performance,
teamwork, contributions to the firm will also be considered.
Work Schedule Flexibility
Most clients are committed to providing attorneys with the support they need to
balance their professional obligations with personal responsibilities outside the
office.
Professional Expenses
Clients reimburse all required expenses related to registering for a bar exam,
including the bar application fee and the Multi-state Professional Responsibility
Exam fee. They also pay the tuition for one bar review course, attorneys' membership
dues for the state where the attorney is located, the American Bar Association and
several other elective associations.
